About Us:
We are a growing e-commerce furniture company located in Brooklyn, NY. We sell furniture through our own websites as well as major online marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and others.
We are looking for a full-time E-commerce Furniture Sales Specialist who can assist customers, answer product questions, follow up on leads, and help turn inquiries into completed sales. This is not a cold-calling position. All sales are inbound. Customers contact us through our websites, phone, chat, email, and online marketplaces.
This role is for someone who understands sales, knows how to speak with customers, and can guide them toward the right product.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product questions and purchase decisions.
- Sell furniture through inbound phone calls, chat, and email.
- Follow up with existing leads, quotes, and customer inquiries to close sales.
- Recommend the right products based on customer needs, room size, budget, comfort preference, and delivery requirements.
- Create new orders using our POS system.
- Verify and qualify new orders before fulfillment.
- Answer customer questions regarding pricing, availability, shipping, delivery, and product details.
- Track orders and follow up with customers, vendors, and delivery partners.
- Work on customer leads and tickets using Zendesk.
- Communicate with warehouse, sales, and management teams
- Help improve the customer experience from first contact to final delivery.
Qualifications:
- Sales experience required.
- E-commerce experience preferred.
- Furniture or mattress sales experience is a strong plus.
- Experience with inbound sales is preferred.
- Comfortable selling by phone, email, and live chat.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to ask the right questions and guide customers to the right product.
- Good follow-up skills and ability to close open leads.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Able to manage multiple customers, orders, and tasks at the same time.
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace, POS systems, and basic computer tools.
- Experience with Zendesk, Amazon, or Walmart Marketplace is a plus.
Ideal Candidate:
The right person for this role is not just an order taker. We need someone who can sell without pressure. You should be comfortable speaking with customers who have already shown interest, understanding what they need, explaining product options, overcoming objections, and helping close the sale. Furniture customers often need help with size, comfort, material, delivery, and setup questions. The ideal candidate should be patient, confident, and able to guide customers toward the best option.
